Established in 2000, Pre-school By-The-Park@Shelford began with a small group of children in this 3-storey bungalow with its luscious greens (a 5minute walk from the main road, located opposite Coronation Plaza). Children’s voices and laughter fill the many classrooms.

We started off with the basic foundation of advocating and providing passionate learning for children. With the strong support of parents, the driving force of a young and dynamic team and an open mind to changes to cater to the growing needs of our children, By-The-Park continues to provide dedicated and quality preschool education.

Philosophy

Every child is a unique person, with his or her own interests, learning style, growth timetable, and culture. When given time, space, and opportunity to interact in an enriching environment with meaningful and developmentally appropriate programs, a child can construct new ideas and link them to existing knowledge.

At By-The-Park, we also recognize that children learn best when they are having fun. Through a firm partnership between our parents and our team of dedicated teachers, we aim in providing these conditions to our children, where they are nurtured and educated towards a rewarding and meaningful childhood.

Curriculum

Our curriculum is designed to ensure that the child develops a love of learning and in all developmental aspects through meaningful and mindful integrated activities. The programs developed for the different age group are planned to provide a wholesome, creative and fun learning experience as well as instil positive attitudes and concepts.

Since we believe that play is a work of childhood and through play children experience learning in a fun way, we have included play as an important part of our Toddler program.

As the child develops, our Preschooler Program will incorporate various activities for him or her to discover new findings, be engaged in new experiences, interact with peers and teachers and learn new skills.

In our Kindergarten program, we have included basic academic and life skills, which will be essential for their formal schooling.

Whatever your child's stage of development, By-The-Park has an early childhood educational curriculum that will meet every child's preschool needs.
